What to Watch This Week: March 5-11, 2017

Hillary Clinton is back! On International Women’s Day, the 2016 Democratic nominee, who won almost 3 million more votes than President Donald Trump, will be speaking at Vital Voice’s Global Leadership Awards. Also, political drama Designated Survivor returns. Read on for all the details on what you should be watching this week.

Tuesday, March 7, 2017:
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (11:35pm-12:37am, CBS)
Retired General Michael Hayden will be interviewed.

Wednesday, March 8, 2017:
Vital Voice’s Global Leadership Awards (8pm)
Hillary Clinton, who co-founded Vital Voices in 1997 with Madeleine Albright, will be speaking at this International Women’s Day event, which will also see Diane von Furstenberg address the audience and with Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan as one of the honorees.

Designated Survivor Mid-Season Premiere (10-11pm, ABC)
Kiefer Sutherland stars as Tom Kirkman, a former low-level White House Cabinet member who became President of the United States after everyone above him in the presidential line of succession died due to an attack on the Capitol Building. The ABC drama, which is returning for the back half of its inaugural season, is a fantastic show and I highly recommend watching it.

More shows and events will be added as necessary. If there’s anything you think we should add (either this week or for a future date), let us know!
